The inaugural meeting of the ETSA Stamp Club, now known as SA Power Networks Stamp Club, was held on 28 July 1964. The meeting was held in the recreation room of the Electricity Trust of SA’s premises located at the corner of Main South Road and Sir Donald Bradman Drive, Mile End. The club formed on that evening has now been active for 58 years!
It was the ETSA Stamp Club members who developed the Circuit Book Scheme that has become the model and nucleus for the Circuit Book Scheme that is now operated by the South Australian Philatelic Society.
In its hay-day, the club had over 160 financial members. It remains the only corporate stamp club in South Australia today. Currently, the club meets in members’ homes.
